HOW IT WORKS

You make the Rules. Bouncer enforces them.

Reducing screen time starts with a concrete Rule. Limit social media and protect your focus time: here’s how Bouncer puts a pause between the impulse and the scroll.

The guide to reducing screen time

01 / THE APPS

Choose who stays outside.

Bouncer uses Apple Screen Time to block the apps you select. Start with Focus, Sleep or Social, or create a custom Rule. You select the apps in Apple’s app picker.

02 / THE MOMENT

Decide when the Rule applies.

A schedule protects specific hours on the days you choose. A daily limit blocks the apps when their allowance is reached. A Rule has one trigger. Lockdown requires a scheduled window with an explicit end.

03 / THE ACCESS

Make entering a decision.

The blocked-app shield has no unblock action. Open Bouncer. With Normal or High, complete the wait in the app, then choose from the available session lengths. Leaving Bouncer or locking the phone pauses the wait.

04 / THE DURATION

A visit with an end.

Temporary access lasts 5, 10 or 15 wall-clock minutes. High reduces the choices after successful unblocks. Minutes keep passing when you put your phone down. Rule changes are free during this temporary access.

THREE LEVELS

Normal

A moment to choose.

A short, variable wait interrupts the impulse. Then choose a temporary session of 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

For a pause before you open a feed.

High

The more you ask, the harder it gets.

After each successful unblock, the wait grows and the available session gets shorter.

For the “just one more time” loop.

Lockdown

This time is spoken for.

Keep selected apps blocked until your scheduled window ends. Active Lockdown rules cannot be edited or switched off, except with the limited Emergency Pass.

One local Emergency Pass, available again seven days after use.

THE REPORT

Context, not a score.

Your Report compares daily averages for time in blacklisted apps and total screen time over a day, week or month. It does not display estimated time reclaimed or a focus score.

THE EMERGENCY PASS

One limited exception.

One local pass turns off active Lockdowns only. It returns seven days after use and does not accumulate. Activate each affected Lockdown again manually. Its state is not guaranteed after device transfer or reinstallation.

Choose your first moment.

Bouncer is paid: Monthly or one-time Lifetime access, with no free trial. Your local price is shown in the app and confirmed by Apple.
